Sammy Spider’s First Book of Jewish Holidays

Kar-Ben, Sylvia Rouss, and Katherine Janus Kahn, the long-time successful and marvel­ous Sammy Spider team, have now brought Sammy and the Shapiros to the toddler crowd in a new sturdy board book. Bright, colorful illustrations, Sammy-style, attract little eyes and hands and prompt parents to introduce and emphasize the special features of each holiday around the Jewish calendar year. One iconic line and illustration for each holiday on each page serves the purpose well. When the toddlers graduate to the already classic “real” Sammy stories, the friendly, inquisitive little spider will already feel like an old friend.
